Anxiety is an enemy I’ve felt the Holy Spirit prompting me to pray against in the lives of many for weeks now.
At the bottom of this post is a fascination portion of Scripture that says, “God’s constant care of him will make a deep impression on all who see it. He does not fear bad news, nor live in dread of what may happen. For he is settled in his mind that Jehovah will take care of him.”
My daily prayer over this matter for weeks has been Phil 4:6.

As you read this today let God’s peace flood your soul, calm your mind and activate confidence in your spirit!

Phil 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. NIV

Peace doesn’t come from the absence of problems. Peace comes from the presence of God.

THIS IS A WAY OF LIFE FOR DISCIPLES WHO FOLLOW JESUS.

Luke 12:11 And when they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not be ANXIOUS about how you should defend yourself or what you should say, 12 for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.” ESV

This way of life conquers anxiety and embraces peace. Over the years I’ve learned wealthy people who seemingly would have less pressures don’t appear to have less ANXIETY. In my lifetime multiple famous and wealthy people have come to a place of total desperation and committed suicide.

Luke 12:16-21 The land of a rich man produced plentifully, 17 and he thought to himself, ‘What shall I do, for I have nowhere to store my crops?’ 18 And he said, ‘I will do this: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry.’ 20 But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?’ 21 SO IS THE ONE WHO LAYS UP TREASURE FOR HIMSELF AND IS NOT RICH TOWARD GOD.” ESV

Luke 12:22-34 And he said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not be ANXIOUS about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on. 23 For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. 24 Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds! 25 And which of you by being ANXIOUS can add a single hour to his span of life? 26 If then you are not able to do as small a thing as that, why are you ANXIOUS about the rest?

THIS IS SIMPLY A WAY OF LIFE WHERE WE LEARN TO GLORIFY GOD AND DIGNIFY OTHERS RATHER THAN MAGNIFYING OURSELVES.

LUKE 12:32-34 “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell your possessions, and give to the needy. Provide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys. 34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. ESV

Ps 112 Praise the Lord! For all who fear God and trust in him are blessed beyond expression. Yes, happy is the man who delights in doing his commands. 2 His children shall be honored everywhere, for good men’s sons have a special heritage. 3 He himself shall be wealthy, and his good deeds will never be forgotten. 4 When darkness overtakes him, light will come bursting in. He is kind and merciful— 5 and all goes well for the generous man who conducts his business fairly. 6 Such a man will not be overthrown by evil circumstances. God’s constant care of him will make a deep impression on all who see it. 7 He does not fear bad news, nor live in dread of what may happen. For he is settled in his mind that Jehovah will take care of him. 8 That is why he is not afraid but can calmly face his foes. 9 He gives generously to those in need. His deeds will never be forgotten. He shall have influence and honor. TLB
