Intercessory Leadership

Gal 6:2 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. NIV

Gal 6:1-2 Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. Carry each other’s burdens…(fulfilling the law of X)

CONTEXT FOR Gal 6:9Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time wewill reap if wedo not grow weary. NAS

Intercession is being availableto be used like Jesus by standing in the gap for others. Some of your battles are not your own. Such an important thing for us to understand as we move into places of leadership & influence.

Rom 15:1Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength… (NAS)

Gen 20:2 And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, “She is my sister.” So Abimelech king of Gerar sent and took Sarah. NAS

Gen 26:6-7 So Isaac lived in Gerar. When the men of the place asked about his wife, he said, “She is my sister. NAS

Moabites & Ammonites:

  • Result of Lot’s sin with daughters – Gen 19
  • Place where we lose our sons and fathers – Ruth
  • 2 Sam 11 David falls into sexual sin w Bathsheba.
  • 2 Sam 8 Fought Moabites.
  • 2 Sam 10 = Ammonites.

Lot more going on spiritually than any of us realize. Intercession is standing in gap. Some of your battles are not your own. The greatest gift you can give your family, your friends and your world is an inspired, vibrant you. When we are spiritually well we supernaturally empowered.

An attitude of negativity is born from a heart that is more surrendered to the Fall of man than the Resurrection of Christ. Preserving a positive attitude in a fallen world takes a constant commitment to practice the perspective of hope.

Exodus13:17..God did not lead them on the road…that was shorter. For God said, “If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.”” NIV

The less we’re prepared for battles the longer God’s plans will take.

In Mark 4 Jesus was in the storm yet had peace inside his heart and that was powerful enough to calm the storm on the outside. God’s always trying to deal with the atmosphere of our hearts because that’s what positions us to deal effectively with what’s going on in the world around us.

Within you right` now is the power to do things you never dreamed possible. Just need to get the atmosphere of your heart right.
