Heaven has an attitude and it’s born from God’s perspective. God has called us to be the giant killers of our generation and any giant killer’s reality is born from God’s perspective. Man’s perspective and God’s perspectives are, many times, at odds.

1 Sam 16:7 But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the LORD sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart.” NIV

The last king Samuel anointed was tall, handsome and a seemingly obvious choice. Now he’s anointing the exact opposite. This kid didn’t even get invited to the event with Samuel. There was something about David’s heart that caught God’s attention. God watched David’s passion to care for the sheep protecting them and guarding them. This was the kind of king God wanted for his people.

David had his mind right and would later kill Goliath. David fought like a warrior because David thought like a warrior. God’s purposes for you are more powerful than other people’s opinions of you. Other people’s opinions do not have to become your reality! God’s opinion is the ultimate perspective and our reality can be born from God’s perspective.

Rom 2:11 …God pays no attention to what others say (or what you think) about you. He makes up his own mind. MSG

To memorize the Bible is to memorize the mind of God. Rehearsing the Bible is rehearsing the mind of God. Rehearsing mountains positions us in a conquerable state of mind. Worry and fear never lessen tomorrow’s problems but they will diminish today’s joy. Be bold! Be strong! The Lord your God is with you!
