God Inspired Life

Nupedia was an online encyclopedia idea launched in 2000 that most people have never even heard of. The best and brightest doctors, historians and professors were recruited to write scholarly articles that were filtered through an extensive editing process. Very few elite professionals were allowed in making the project extremely slow and inefficient. A mere twenty four articles were published over three years before the idea was abandoned all together.

Another idea was emerging almost simultaneously. In 2001 an online information feeder system was created. Average, ordinary people were encouraged to submit articles to an online editorial staff. In just one year 20,000 “wiki” articles had been submitted for consideration. 10 years later Wikipedia was the largest online encyclopedia with more than 17 million articles.

Trusting ordinary individuals to work on articles pertaining to topics they were passionate about changed everything.

The book of Acts describes Wikipedia Christianity.

God is transforming the church of our generation from a room full of consumers who listen to a minister into a room full of ministers who listen to God.

God is removing confining control from the hands of the elite ministry professionals so he can and put it in the hands of ordinary people who carry powerfully transforming gifts from a uniquely them perspective.

You are uniquely equipped by God for powerful personal ministry in your everyday life that flows from your own God-given design. God is transforming the church of our generation from room full of consumers who love listen to a minister into a room full of ministers who love listening to God.

You don’t need a person to teach you. His anointing teaches you (1 Jn 2:27). Church done right means you’re being taught by God even when man is speaking.

John 6:45 ‘They will all be taught by God.‘ Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from him comes to me. NIV

Isa 54:13 All your children will be taught by the LORD, and great will be their peace. NIV

We are called to live God-inspired lives! The word, “inspire” means, “to breathe into”. It is the very breath of God that brought life into Adam and that same breath of God sustains us through the storm. Job remained strong before the Lord even in the midst of deep anguish and pain. He was so strong it offended his wife and this curious verse reveals his vibrant spirit in the midst of turmoil was offensive to her.

Job 19:17 My breath is offensive to my wife… NIV

When you feel like God doesn’t make sense don’t abandon what you know because of what you don’t understand. Job continued to walk with God and in following chapters we read of so much being released from his life as a result.

Job 29:3-6 When His lamp shone over my head, And by His light I walked through darkness; 4 As I was in the prime of my days, When the friendship of God was over my tent; 5 When the Almighty was yet with me, And my children were around me; 6 When my steps were bathed in butter, And the rock poured out for me streams of oil! NAS

We are marked by God’s anointing. Our steps release something from heaven into the earth. Job speaks of this idea of carrying the anointing of God so powerfully that we leave the mark of God’s presence, God’s blessing, and God’s love as we walk through this world. Job demonstrated what it means to remain full of God even when facing unimaginable pain and difficulty.

Job 33:4 The Spirit of God has made me, And the breath of the Almighty gives me life. NIV

Air is the body what prayer is to the spirit. Many Hebrew scholars teach that the name of God, Yahweh (YHWH) is the sound of breath. On one hand, His name is too sacred to pronounce. On the other hand, it’s whispered w every breath we take. By design God’s name is the first word we speak and the first breath we breathe. God’s name will be the last word we speak and the last breath we breathe. Every word and every breath in between the day of our birth and the day of our death we are speaking his name by our God-given design.

When you choose to live a life that is inspired by God daily you awaken your destiny. Otherwise, you settle for a mundane existence, and you were born for more than that! We are born needing to take in breath to live. We are born again needing to take in the breath of God to live more fully.

The devil comes to steal, kill and destroy but realize the aim of death is not to kill you but to keep you from the fulness of life until you die.

To be inspired by God is to be empowered by God!

Stop complaining about your giants and sit at the Lord’s table in the presence of those enemies. This link is an inspiring story of how God used Father Nash and his difficult circumstances to propel him forward into God’s call on his life.

Numbers 14:9 Only do not rebel against the LORD. And do not fear the people of the land, for they are bread for us. Their protection is removed from them, and the LORD is with us; do not fear them.” ESV

Giants in your life are bread! Your enemies are bread for you. They are preparation for what’s ahead. Your giant is your next meal designed by God to provide for you the strength to step into the next dimension of the call of God on your life! Goliath wasn’t there to defeat David. He was there to promote him.

We want God to give us strength for the battle. God gives us strength from the battle. May we learn to live our lives in pursuit of the heart of God!
